The Right Blogging Platform For Your Needs

January 14th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Computer & gizmo's
Choosing which blogging platform to use is one of the
most important decisions that you can make as a
blogger. The right platform can make blogging a
breeze, and the wrong platform can make blogging a
chore. Because the program that you use to blog with is
such a powerful part of your blogging experience, it is
well worth putting in the time to find a platform that
provides your ideal balance between a user-friendly
interface and a flexible framework that allows you to
make your blog look and feel unique. Finding the right
platform isn’t always easy, but with a little bit of
contemplation and a little bit of research, you will be on
your way to finding the perfect blogging platform.
Deciding what your priorities are in terms of ease of use
versus customization. Most highly customizable
blogging platforms, like moveable type, are a bit more
difficult to use than very automated platforms like
wordpress. If you are new to blogs and to internet
technology, you might want to sacrifice the ability to
create a custom background design or to integrate a
unique font into your template in order to find a
program that will be easy for you to use. On the other
hand, if you are a veteran web designer with knowledge
of html or javascript, you will probably find the
limitations of a user-friendly platform to be frustrating.
There is no such thing as a blogging platform that is
objectively the best platform, because every blogger has
unique needs. The blogging movement is very much
about individuality, so it makes plenty of sense that
there would be many different platforms available that
are designed to meet the needs of different kinds of
individuals undertaking different kinds of projects. This
diversity is a good thing, because it means that you will
almost certainly be able to find a program that suits
your level of technical aptitude.
However, the fact that no two bloggers need the same
thing from a blogging platform can make your search
for the right platform a bit tricky. When you are reading
reviews of different platforms, try to keep your
priorities in mind and do your best to take into account
the position that the reviewer is coming from. For
example, a negative review written by an accomplished
software designer who complains that a popular
platform is too limited may tell you that the platform in
question is ideal for a beginning blogger. There is no
such thing as the perfect platform for everybody, so
instead of looking for the “best” platform, look for the
best platform for your specific criteria.

Hot Wallpapers of Celebrity Models, Actors and Actresses – An Instant Inspiration!

December 30th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Computer & gizmo's

Hot wallpapers of celebrity models, actors and actresses are an instant inspiration for me when I am buckled under the pressure of tight schedules.  Being in to the consultancy profession, and with a growing list of quality clientele, I am always as busy as a bee.  Inevitably, this leaves me often in an emotional vacuum or rather restless nervousness.  Luckily for me, I am a fan to a few celebrities in the show business.  These include a few film personalities and a string of models.  I have habituated to keep wallpapers depicting one or other of these hot celebrities.  Thus, whether before my computer, or making a call or just listening to a tune in my iphone, these celebrity images excite me, or rather inspire me and enable me to shed my boredom.  In fact, if they are film personalities, their figures would invoke in me some unforgettable scenes from some classic renderings on the silver screen.  Instantly I may tune on to some sweet melody from those films that I can pick from the stock that I keep with my device.  It is a sort of instant inspiration and that is ready at hand.

Trojan Horse….Greek Myth or Computer Nemesis?

December 4th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Computer & gizmo's

We have all heard the term Trojan Horse, but what exactly is it?  A Trojan Horse is a destructive program that masquerades as a harmless application. Unlike viruses, Trojan Horses do not replicate themselves, but they can be just as destructive. One of the most dangerous examples of a Trojan is a program that promises to rid your computer of viruses but instead introduces viruses into your computer.

3 Different Types Of Camera’s: Box, Folding-Roll, And Viewfinder

December 3rd, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Computer & gizmo's
This article will outline 3 different types of camera’s: Box, Folding-Roll, and Viewfinder. This information will help you decide which camera suits your photography needs the best.
For over several decades the box camera was the gadget of choice for the typical amateur photographer. This is because it was cheap and simple, yet still capable of excellent results under most conditions. Box cameras were usually fitted with a single-element lens, a limited range opening control, and a single-speed shutter.
Next up is the Folding-Roll Film Camera, which was also very popular but not quite as much so as the box camera. The folding camera came in several types of formats, but basically, it was a box camera whose lens was included into a movable disk that could slide back and forth on a rail, allowing the lens to change focus from close to long range.
There were more complicated models available, but they were more expensive and considered very high quality. But, the most important benefit that they had over the box camera, was their compact design when folded, which made them easier to pack and transport. There has been something of a minor renaissance in folding-roll film cameras in recent years, with appearance of several new professional instruments. They are appreciated for their large negative size and compact design.
Next is a Viewfinder type camera which does not use a lens to view the subject but instead relies on a separate viewing system in the camera for aiming and for focus. The range finder camera allows for accurate focus, however, by using two views of the same subject to adjust focus. In this camera there are two images in the viewfinder. One is usually only a portion of the viewer area and is usually slightly yellowish in color. The photographer adjusts the focus ring on the lens and as they do the two images move. When both on directly on top of each other they blend together and almost disappear which signifies that the camera is in focus. The rangefinder is accurate and very quiet as well as being light weight. It is also useful for taking pictures in low light conditions or for candid photographs. These cameras can easily be spotted because of their double view windows in the front.
Enjoy your photography hobby and remember – keep experimenting with different angles and new lighting. Don’t be afraid to get creative!

The photo features of the new iPod video

November 24th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Computer & gizmo's
One of the newest and most popular digital devices on the market today is, without any doubt, the new video iPod. The small device has improved significantly since the last model` s launching and the main evolution is represented by the capacity of playing videos.
Still, the new iPod video is not all about watching movies or music video clips, as it has various improvements since the last model, different accessories and improved capacities. As the producing company Apple claims, regarding the evolution of the product: Witness the evolution of the revolution. First it played songs. Then photos. Then pod casts. Now iPod plays video. Importing and saving photos was an important characteristic of the last models of iPod and it still is, even with the new video feature.
IPod video, just like the previous generations of iPods, can import photos in digital format from either a camera or a card reader. One of the best options for these is the Apple Camera Connector, which works with both a camera and a USB card reader. Still, the usage of the Apple Camera Connector or Belkin Media Reader (for the other generations of iPods, excluding the iPod video, which is not compatible with Belkin) might cause the intense usage of the battery of the iPod, as well. With the USB 1.1 camera, the battery remains half charged after the procedure. While transferring the pictures with the UBB 1. camera, the iPod shows the thumbnails of the imported images. At the end of the transport, the images can be browsed, but they can not be displayed on TV.
The new iPod video provides some options for the photo album, due to the high quality of the images and pictures. These can be rated or they can form slideshows and a major plus this fact that the new iPod video provides full-size thumbnails of photos.
Another characteristic of the 5th generation of iPods which is connected with the photo feature is the large color screen that this version of the iPod provides. The screen is the largest-yet display which was created since the appearance of these items on the market. Even more, the screen shows sharp texts and optimized brightness; so long titles can be read easily. Due to this fact, the photos are large and sharp, as well. Even though the company Apple advertises the new battery life (which became 20 hours from 16 hours of the last model of iPods), the battery runs down quickly if the backlight is on. Still, the backlight is not necessary in most situations, as the text is readable and the images have a good visibility in sunlight or in intense indoor light.
The photo importing and saving feature of the new iPod video has significantly changed in comparison with the last model of these devices, which lead to a better response from the public and a more optimized device. With the new range of importing and saving pictures, the video iPod presents improvements in this domain, together with the obvious improvements in the video processing. The Apple company symbolizes the capacity of the new iPod video, mentioning that the new device can store up to 15 000 songs, 25 000 photos and up to 150 hours of video.

One of the newest and most popular digital devices on the market today is, without any doubt, the new video iPod. The small device has improved significantly since the last model` s launching and the main evolution is represented by the capacity of playing videos.

How The Equipment Has Changed

November 23rd, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Computer & gizmo's
There are many different opinions as to what
machines should actually be classified as earth
moving equipment.  There are many different types
of equipment that fall in this category, such as
excavators, backhoe loaders, dump trucks, and
even loaders.
Other machinery that falls in between are articulated
trucks, wheel and track tractors, and even
scrapers.  The thin line is normally drawn at
motor grades, which are more than capable or light
duty excavation, although they are mainly used
to level lots and grade roads.
If you take a glance at any equipment literature
from leading companies such as CAT, Komatsu, or
Case, you’ll see right away that they believe the
biggest and most important change over the last
several years is increased productivity.  This is
normally followed by greater comfort and safety.
The increase in productivity is the result of
many different advancements.  CAT (Caterpillar)
cites that more powerful engines with a faster
rise in torque which allows machines to respond
faster to increased power demands.  Even though
this new generation is far more powerful, it
has a reduced impact on the environment as well.
Electronics
Most of the newer machines have electronic
control systems that will optimize both engine
and transmission performance, as well as fuel
consumption and hydraulic system performance.
Take for example the CAT mid sized G series
wheel loaders that feature electronically controlled
powershift transmissions.  Each and every
transmission offers autoshift capabilities that
ease the pressure on the operator, and an
electronic clutch pressure control that smooth
shifts the gears for longer life.
Comfort
In the industry, good operators are getting harder
and harder to find.  Manufacturers find themselves
stressing that operator comfort and convenience
need to be taken into account not only to make
the job easier, but also more efficient and
productive as well.
The new cab designs offer better visibility,
reduced noise and vibration, and improved comfort
as well.  The new control systems will require low
operator effort while also improving the control
of the machine for both the experienced as well
as the in-experienced operator.
Easier maintenance
Almost all new machinery offers electronic
monitoring systems that will provide constant
information on the health of the machine for the
operator.  These types of systems provide information
to technicians, including service modes that will
help them to diagnose conditions quickly.
Now days, machines are designed to make routine
maintenance easier.  With CAT’s wheel loaders,
regular service points are easy to access from
ground level, with site gauges making it easier
to check the fluid of the radiator, hydraulic oil,
and transmission – without having to use dipsticks.
Changes for the better
If you compare the excavation equipment of today
with the machines of the past, you’ll notice that
the changes are better.  The machines of the past
relied more on operator skill and technique, as
very few of them had electronic features.
Today, almost all types of heavy machinery offer
electronic features.  Electronics are a great
thing, as they can make the life of an operator
easier than ever.  You don’t need to get out and
check the fluids anymore, as all you need to do
is take a look at your instrument panel, which can
help to save you a lot of time.
Operators who have a lot of experience know first
hand that machines of the past can’t begin to
compete with machines of today.  With technology
always getting better, it just makes you wonder
what is in the future for heavy machinery.  Years
from now, one can only begin to wonder just great
heavy machinery will get – and what other features
will make the life of an operator even easier than
it is now.

There are many different opinions as to what

Apple iPod Special U2 Edition

November 15th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Computer & gizmo's
New iPod models have sprung up as quickly as mushrooms after the rain and each time they just seem to get better and better. I have to say though that this U2 special edition iPod just captured my heart the moment I saw it. Being very much a U2 fan, the fact that the back panel has the band members’ signatures engraved on it is enough reason in itself for it to be the best. The U2 iPod is easily recognizable from all the other models due to its style. While the others are usually white – or plain black in the case of some 5G models – this baby’s black front panel and bright red click wheel is sure to stand out.
The U2 iPod is so much more than eye candy, though. Twenty gigabytes of storage may seem meager compared to the storage capacity of the newer models but believe me, it still translates to a lot of songs. I have had the iPod for a little over a year now and I still haven’t filled it up.
The U2 iPod has similar features as that of other iPods of its generation. It is so easy to use – all you need in order to do whatever you want with your songs is your thumb. Superior sound quality lets you enjoy all your favorite songs.
One drawback is the battery life. It is supposed to be able to play songs continuously for 12 hours. In my experience, it could be anywhere from 4-9 hours. Factors such as file size and playback options may be the reason for this. The lock button on the top of the iPod can help conserve battery. When not in use, you can lock it so that you won’t accidentally run the battery down. Another concern is that the iPod gets scratched easily. Solution: get a case for protection.
Indeed, compared to the other models with their newer features, the U2 iPod is a bit expensive. If you think about it though, it has everything you need in an mp3 player – unless it’s video you’re after. I suppose the bottom line is whether you are enough of a U2 fan to splurge on it. Then again, even if you are not and you have enough cash to spend, the stand out look of the U2 iPod should be enough reason to get it for yourself.
